Polynesian Village Refurbishment
Many folks are interested in what is happening at Disney’s Polynesian Resort. First it has changed names, again, to reflect it’s original name when the resort was built. It is now called The Polynesian Village. With the addition of the new Disney Vacation Club villas and bungalows I think the new name is quite fitting. Pictures can tell a thousand words so I walked around on February 25th and shot these pictures of the grounds so you could get an idea of the construction. There is still quite a bit of it at that point and it doesn’t look like the pool will be done any time real soon. It is a bit of a maze walking around, but as long as you know how to get to your building you will be fine. It’s just not the time to be cruising around the grounds for an evening stroll.
I think the hardest part right now for any guests is not having the feature pool BUT the quiet pool is still available and it is an excellent pool in a beautiful courtyard. It just doesn’t have a water slide feature. Enjoy the pictures! I hope you will try this resort one day in the near future, whether you wait until the construction is complete or not, you won’t be disappointed with it’s monorail access and proximity to the Magic Kingdom.
