Flower and Garden Festival

Epcot’s Flower and Garden Festival kicked off this week on Wednesday and will end on May 19th.  New this year are Garden Marketplaces around the World showcase where you can taste specialty foods from fresh berry drinks to herb entrees.  So much work goes into the topiaries and the displays around the park that I am always amazed at what can be done.  There really is something for all ages.  There are three playgrounds for the little ones all themed differently and set up around the park for children to enjoy while parents can watch comfortably on shaded benches.  There are walk-through exhibits where you can learn about the life cycle of a butterfly and catch a glimpse of a few of your favorite fairy friends gracing the garden.  Adults can take part in educational talks and hear from their favorite HGTV personalities when they take the stage.  The Flower Power Concert series is also a hit when bands from the 50’s through the 90’s take the stage in free concerts that take place three times each Friday, Saturday and Sunday night.  Enjoy our pictures that we took opening day of this popular Epcot season!
