Going to see the Re-imagined Disney Magic

Going to see the Re-imagined Disney Magic

written by Debi Mitchell, travel agent specializing in Disney vacations

I’m still not packed and I leave tomorrow to head to Miami to see the newly re-imagined Disney Magic.  If you’ve looked at our website page there are so many changes that have been made over the last month-and-a-half, and I can’t wait to see them!  As soon as I finish watching the first game of the World Series I will get my suitcase packed, but I’m more worried about getting my camera battery charged and remembering my power cord for my laptop. This way I can share all of the pictures, feelings, and information that I will be experiencing this weekend.  I am very blessed to get to travel on this “Showcase at Sea” cruise, chosen to be one of the first people to see all of the new updates.  The neat part is that when the Disney Magic left North America (Galveston, Texas) this past May, I was ON her.  My family and I sailed on the Disney Magic across the Atlantic ocean and felt slightly sad that the next time we would see her she would be changed in so many ways.  But here I am, ready to see if I will even recognize her, but thrilled about it all.  I was on her last sailing from North America, and now I will be on her first sailing now that she is back.

The word “Disney” imparts in many of us memories from our past, but also the excitement of seeing what is new and yet, still mingled with the old.  Whenever I step foot on one of the Disney fleet, my heart races and it brings back a flood of happy feelings, but this time it will also be mixed with the excitement of seeing what is new.  I will attempt to load pictures on this page, to this album below, if I am able.  Stay tuned!!!

11/3/13—edited to add that while I was among an elite group of ~50 travel agents around the WORLD chosen to sail on the Disney Magic and see her new additions, we were asked NOT to post any pictures last week.  Oh, it was so hard to not be able to share everything that I was seeing!  Disney wanted their official media to get first shot at getting everything out to the public.  So I patiently waited, but now I can share with you all of the pictures that I took last week.  Enjoy!!!
