Kellsie’s Hope was started by Kellsie Marchbanks. Kellsie was a remarkable young woman who infused all those around her with her heartwarming smile and sparkling personality. Her bravery and determination were inspirational. Her faith was unyielding. Facing cancer for the third time in her young life, Kellsie immediately turned her attention to helping others. After her passing in June 2011 of Osteosarcoma, the Marchbanks family formed Kellsie’s Hope Foundation Inc, to celebrate the life of this remarkable young woman and to continue the work she started from her hospital bed.
The mission of Kellsie’s Hope Foundation Inc is to lighten the load of families that have children suffering from cancer by offering support for trips, and gifts that might otherwise be unattainable to a child with cancer. Kellsie’s foundation is also dedicated to raising funds to support research into childhood cancers such as hers, and supporting the nursing field with a nursing scholarship each year.
Corporations and individuals making donations to Kellsie’s Hope Foundation can be assured that their donations will help a child with cancer to make their life a little easier, and to support the goal of putting an end to childhood cancer.
Agents from Wish Upon a Star with Us are training to walk/run in the Super Heroes Race in Disneyland, and the Glass Slipper Challenge (Princess 1/2 Marathon and Princess 10K) in Disney World as part of Kellsie’s Krew. We hope to raise $10,000 for Kellsie’s Hope Foundation. Some agents have never done any type of running before, but we are all working hard towards the personal goal of finishing the race, and helping others in need. We are so proud of our team of agents that have sacrificed their time and energy towards this goal:
