Disney’s Pop Century is in the value category of resorts and is located near the Hollywood Studios theme park. In this large, colorful resort, you can immerse yourself in your favorite pop culture decade, from the 1950s to the 1990s, with huge sayings and icons from each era trimming the four-story buildings. Lady and the Tramp (released in 1955) watch over the bowling pin shaped pool in the ’50s area with giant sock-hoppers depicted on the building nearby. Was the 1960s more your style? Then enjoy some ‘Peace, Love and Happiness’ at the flower shaped Hippy Dippy Pool in the ’60s decade area overlooked by Baloo and Mowgli from the Jungle Book (released in 1967). Were you more of a disco-dancer than a sock-hopper? Then the ’70s building is for you. The Rubik’s cube and Roger Rabbit are displayed in the ’80s era, and the cell phone and laptop are featured in the ’90s era, along with a monitor shaped pool. You’re sure to find something to relive your fondest memories here and we can put a request for your favorite building on your reservation for you.
When you check in at Classic Hall, there’s also an opportunity to take a stroll down Memory Lane. There are pictures and memorabilia all along the wall opposite the check-in desk for you to enjoy. There’s a large, colorful lounge custom made for kids where they can wait while you take care of the business of getting settled in. The main lobby also houses the Fast Forward Arcade and the Everything Pop gift shop and food court. From Disney’s Pop Century Resort, you can take the Disney Skyliner to conveniently access Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Epcot, as well as several other Disney resorts. The bus stop outside Classic Halls offers transportation to other destinations throughout Walt Disney World property.
The rooms at Pop Century are 260 square feet and have either a queen bed and a queen-size table bed, or 1 king bed. There’s a mini-fridge in each room and you can choose between a standard room or a preferred room, which is closer to Classic Hall and all it’s amenities. No matter which era you grew up in or are especially fond of, you’re sure to find something to tug at your heartstrings here at Pop Century. That ‘Disney magic’ will surround you from the moment you arrive until the moment you leave this happy, upbeat resort.
