Accessibility & Special Needs

Sailing with Little Ones
Sailing with a baby or toddler? Disney Cruise Line offers a range of amenities and services to make your family’s vacation enjoyable and stress-free! For babies and toddlers, you can request items such as pack and plays, bedrails, diaper genies and bottle warmer/sterilizers for your stateroom. Strollers are also available to borrow from guests services on a first-come, first-served basis. High chairs are available in onboard restaurants, and you can even request fresh-made pureed vegetables in the main dining rooms or from room service.

Onboard, young children can have fun in the "it’s a small world" Nursery, a dedicated space where little ones can enjoy age-appropriate playtime under the care of specially trained counselors (additional fee applies, reservations required).

Diaper-age children are not permitted in shipboard pools due to US public health regulations, but each Disney cruise ship offers fun splash areas designed just for the littlest cruisers to enjoy.

Passports & Documentation
While a passport is not required for every Disney Cruise Line sailing, we strongly recommend that all guests sail with a valid passport. A passport provides added security and the most flexibility in case of unexpected travel disruptions. In the unlikely event that you experience an emergency during your cruise that requires you to fly home from a foreign port, a passport allows you to board the flight without delay.

For many cruises (departing and returning to the same US port), US citizens who do not have a passport can sail with an original state-issued birth certificate. For those over 16, a valid government-issued ID is also required in addition to the birth certificate.

Deposit, Payments & Cancellation Penalties
When booking a Disney Cruise Line vacation, a 20% deposit is required to secure your reservation. The remaining balance is due by the final payment due date, typically 90 to 120 days before sailing, depending on the itinerary. While Disney Cruise Line does not offer payment plans, your travel agent can assist with processing additional payments towards your cruise between the deposit and final payment if desired.

Deposits are fully refundable up until the final payment due date. Cancellation policies after the final payment due date vary based on your sail date and stateroom type, with fees increasing closer to your departure. Please refer to your reservation confirmation for full details. Travel insurance is strongly recommended to protect your vacation investment.

Travel Insurance
We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect the investment you've made in your vacation. Travel insurance can help you recoup funds in the event of any unforeseen circumstances or emergencies that occur before or during your vacation. You can add the Disney Cruise Line Vacation Protection Plan to your reservation or choose a plan from an outside provider.
