Disney’s Riviera Resort is the newest Walt Disney World resort, which opened in December 2019. Riviera Resort is themed after the architecture and culture of the French and Italian Riviera, which inspired Walt Disney himself during his travels. The European influence creates an elegant and relaxing atmosphere throughout the entire resort. The stylings and decor of the lobby and rooms give this resort a truly timeless feel! It’s an enchanting combination of the magic and glamour of the European Riviera and the charm of Disney.
The resort’s signature restaurant, Topolino’s Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera, offers a lively and artistic character breakfast with Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Daisy. In the evening, guests can indulge in a menu inspired by France and Italy as they enjoy a signature rooftop dining experience with a view. From the restaurant, guests may even glimpse the nearby nighttime spectaculars at EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The resort also features a quick service restaurant, Primo Piatto, as well as the poolside Bar Riva and the lobby’s quaint Le Petit Café.
Guests staying at Disney’s Riviera Resort have access to both EPCOT and Hollywood Studios via the Disney Skyliner, the gondola system which makes it easy and convenient to travel throughout Walt Disney World. Transportation to the other parks and Disney Springs is provided by bus.
The Riviera Pool is a family-friendly pool area which features a water slide and S’il Vous Play, an interactive splash play area for kids. A second option, Beau Soleil Pool offers a quieter atmosphere perfect for relaxation. Features such as a poolside gelato kiosk and an outdoor bocce ball court draw influence from the European theme.
Riviera’s stylish rooms are made up of Tower Studios, Deluxe Studios, and 1-, 2- and 3-Bedroom Villas. Most of the rooms feature pull down beds, allowing the room to easily transition from daytime living areas to sleeping areas. Studios feature kitchenettes while villas include a full kitchen and washer/dryer, perfect for guests with longer stays or those wanting the comforts of home.
