Sapphire Falls Resort is the only Universal hotel in the ‘Preferred’ category. The Caribbean theme at Sapphire Falls is easily identifiable by the inviting charm, cascading waterfalls and lush greenery. The island influence creates a relaxing atmosphere at this resort. The pool is large (the largest of any Universal onsite hotel) and features a waterslide, zero entry and even a beach area with sand. Standard Rooms have 2 Queen Beds or 1 King Bed and a sofa bed (lagoon view and pool view upgrades are also available). Suites are also available, including Kids Suites which feature a separate bedroom with 2 Twin Beds for the kids, only accessible via the adult room.
Being a Preferred hotel does not make this hotel a lower quality than the Premier hotels (Universal’s highest hotel category). The main difference between Sapphire Falls and the Premier hotel options is that this one does not include the Universal Unlimited Express Pass and it also does not have a club level. The hotel itself is actually the same level of theming, quality and service that you’d find at the Premier level, just at a lower price point and without the Unlimited Express Pass.
Guests at Sapphire Falls can conveniently access CityWalk, Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure by water taxi. A walking path and shuttle buses are also available to these destinations, as well as to Volcano Bay.
